Hi all,

I am going to register some .NU domain names which all have been certified as Premium by PremiumDomain.com.

They r divided into 2 categories : 1) one generic English word .NU 2) 3 characters .NU

I have seen a lot of 3 characters.COM domain names sold for rather high prices so what do u think about 3 characters .NU? Are they more profitable than the rest ones?

Looking for your opinion, guys

Thanks a lot!

Please do not spend money based on what PremiumDomains says. Niue (home of .NU domains) is a small island in the pacific ocean. So your market is whoever you can interest in the domains, for obscure extensions that is very few people, indeed.

The best generic English words have been registered long ago in the obscure island extensions (poker, hotel, sex) You might find a buyer for the best of what is available now, with a few years to work on it. (remember renewal fees) Can you tell which few domains are the best of what is available?

There is a difference between 3 character domains and 3 letter domains. Characters mean letters, numbers and the hyphen (-). Except for a very few special cases (such as MP3) these only have value in .com and a little value in .net.

Three letter domains have more value, but in .nu they would be hard to sell, unless they are very special. .Com domains sell for much much more than other extensions. See Namebio.com for sales data.

Sorry I can't be more optomistic. Spend some time on this forum reading all you can. Your ideas of what to buy will change and grow as you gain knowledge. There is money to be made in domains, sometimes quite a lot of it, but it takes a great deal of study - BEFORE pulling your wallet out.

DvD.nu

I agree with accentnepal 100%. Just because a LLL.com sold $xx,xxx or more, it doesn'tmean a thing when selling a .nu. I have Dvd.nu which I think is a pretty goog keyword. But, there are no gaurantees I will be able to sell it for a high dollar amount. (I'm not giving it away it, I'll reg for years, and wait!).

It mentioned above, it hasto be a super keyword like those already sold, such as Casino.nu .This goes for all the exotic extensions, not just .nu. I know of a word I can register which has over 5,000,000,000 search results on Google. At first I thought "I have to regsiter this domain, it is a sure winner!" Then I thought about the exotic extension I wanted to register, and said well....... I thne looked up prior sales at www.Namebio.com for that extension , the .tc . There are few sales for this extension over $xxx, so I decided not to register it. I might later, if it is still there. If I don't, and if it's taken,no big deal.

Good luck.
