Does anyone know a good tool to find related keywords to a specific area of business?

For example if you type Design, you will get aesthetics, art, colors, etc. A large range of words from the Design Area.

To be more specific, I am looking for a domain in the design industry, which will be a blog and a portfolio in the same time. And I want to hand-register one, not to spend a lot of cash for a domain.

Can anyone help?

You can try domainsbot.com but really all you need is a thesaurus and some imagination ;)

I think you should try GoDaddy Auctions. You can search for exact keywords there.

What method did you use to acquire it?

In my view, this is a fatally flawed approach.

The time and energy investment needed to develop a website is huge. Why would you not want also to invest much in a good domain?

I see this approach often and it is very much like building a nice store and then placing it in a back alley behind a strip club. I'm just saying, consider putting a few hundred dollars into a domain. The combination effect of a good domain and a good website will catapult any competition that does but one. IMO.

I agree with MicroGuy. All webmasters should dedicate a lot of their time to finding the perfect domain. Many would even say that domains are more important than great design and I agree.

Anyway, I am also curious about your method, ColorsDeluxe.

I agree with you, but the idea was to create a personal website. I don't want to make money from it. It's a design website, where I showcase different designs, post resources, and that's it. That's the reason I didn't wanted to invest money in the domain.

And with the godaddy offer, I bought my domain with $1.

Someone asked how I did. Well, since I didn't wanted a domain, but something more like a brand, I was thinking on my existing domains.

I own bespoketemplates.com, so I thought I can use the keyword " bespoke " which means " Custom Made ", and added Pixels ( something related to design ) So my new domain is bespokepixels.com Custom Made Pixels, in some other words, a pretty nice domain for a website where I showcase different designs, and talk about them.

Just like someone told here, all I needed was some imagination.
