to me it seems like this domain is not the best. If you got a reasonable offer I would go ahead and sell if this was my domain. even if that was high xx. To me the number kills it and does not make much sense.

He said he wanted to use this domain for single parents raising kids.
I appreciate the input.

I am not a fan of these names, but they do have value. Parent1.com is actually somewhat brandable for a website helping single parents.

Similar sales -

Blog1.com - $1500
Aloha1.com - $250
CellPhone1.com - $1400
Bird1.com - $160
Invention1.com - $200

if it was 1parent then i think it would be worth a lot but the 1 at the end of the word makes no sense. You never know who the buyer could be though so I would just reply and tell him to make you an offer and then you can go from there. I wouldnt name a price first. you might say $200 but he might be willing to spend $3,000, you never know.

This is what I was thinking. My domain has been in existent for 1 year and I know that 1parent.com has been around since 2003 and oneparent.com since 2004. I imagine he came to me because of the least amount of time.

I am going to tell him to make me an offer because I don't want to short change myself.

Sounds like an amateur developer. A serious one wouldn't be telling you his plans for it. Based entirely on this, I would say don't expect much. Probably $1xx max unless he has money to spend.

Keep us updated.

I received an offer for $500 for this domain. I probably accept this offer.
