Hello everyone! I recently got interested in domaining and it looks like this is very good place to learn more
I will tell you what i wish someone would have told me when i first started:
Save your money and learn! (you are in the right spot) Everyone
here has wasted money(some continue to) on worthless names. Learning will save you so much money. And its heart breaking to let names 'drop' so it will save you some heartache too!
2,3, and 4 letter domains- LL.com, LLL.com, LLLL.com domains are very liquid. Meaning you can always find a buyer, and at least get your money back.
Stay away from .net .co .biz .org unless you know exactly what your doing.
Avoid dashes(-) and plurals(s) they are for 'wishing' IMO and waste of $
Obviously stay away from Trademarked names.
Buy new technology domain names and new trends.
Watch the 'drop names' sites for aged and or revenue names.
1 great name that cost you $3,000 only cost $10 to renewal each year. However, 1,000 ok names that were hand reg, still cost $10,000 to renewal each year.
Best of luck!
