I am starting to see that phrase a lot lately, as I have re-started my project of blogging on the Internet.
I have recently retired from my 20> years in building the Internet on the networking side and now intend to build on the content side.

I hope that I can finally devote some time in trying to understand how to develop content so that I can supplement my income.

I use to visit NamePros, about 7 years ago.
My how it has changed! All grown up now. :D

In going through my domains and dusting them off, there are some I am not sure about developing for web content. So I am back, in hopes of getting some direction.

I have an LLLL.com/.net - two vowels, as well as a LLLLL.com/.net - I am not sure of the value and thought I would seek out the experts. I know there was a time that it was said they they would acquire value, so I have been paying GoDaddy every year.

I hope to become an expert, in web development, by the end of this winter :-,

Lol!

Thank you all!

So one thing is new that I have noticed ... well not true, lots of things are new.
But what is up with the Chinese premium?
I just researched my LLLL.com/.net and found that the .org is registered in China and I am not sure, but I am thinking it is for sale, but google translate does not do so well in Chinese.

When I was involved in domains it was just as the .us extension was introduced ... But I seemed to have lost money on the .us extension. The only thing that I ever had success with was some 'misspelled' names, one really good one that made up for my .us misadventure.
But it all now looks like 'Chinese' to me ... :P

Welcome back :)

Figuring out the Chinese market is not a static learning curve at the moment as prices are constantly changing. Some things have settled a little, but a lot of the things which are still moving are affecting the things which were static, so it's all just jiggling around at the moment with a few pauses here and there.

And that's without the minefield that is the options of varying Chinese domain types - Pinyin, numeric, short (eg 4L), etc, and which TLDs are popular and becoming popular.

And you are a bit behind in the opportunity for buying base level investments, they're all bought and being sold for higher prices. You'll have to investigate and look for more niche and likely higher priced domains to turn a "decent" profit. Or something which has not yet become a trend and so prices are still low (like a specific TLD) but be careful with that.

Learning Web design/programming is a full time requirement in itself, so if you're just looking to sell the ones you have, you can get an idea of sales from the auctions here on NP (lower sales prices), and NameBio.com (higher as end user prices)

eg some LLLL.com sales from yesterday (you said you have LLLL.com):
dbpw.com - $3,209
kkwp.com - $2,520
