Greeting from North Carolina, I just moved to the 'boonies' to get out of the rat race of the Fort Lauderdale suburbs.

I played around with domain names last year, and had just one minor success ($250). For me the name is not as important as the method for picking it. The method used was to anticipate future trends, and that is what I will persue again. Any thoughts on anticipating trends will be much appreciated!

I'm going to try again jsut for fun. I recently signed up with domainsbot and like/dislike them as they do have valuable info, but there server is down a lot. I like there "latest domains that have been released today" but am not clear if that is only a temporary 'bonus' for new subscribers. I am currently trying to log on with no success. They have answered about half my emails. yada-yada

Just kidding with you. I'm in the Triad area and I love it, also have lived in Chapel Hill and the Outer Banks, so I'm the resident NC fan methinks (But Mark (all4cost) and a few others are NC folks as well).
You might go to download.com and play around with domain name analyzer or similar, there are good programs that will help you into the "game" quite quickly
