Hi, Newbie here(somewhat of a newbie)

I purchased some domains to flip about 15 months ago, (about 20)and registered them all for a year, a big variety of sites, business, tech, adult, etc

I would get offers here and there of $25,$35 etc on them but I was waiting for bigger offers. One of the domains fetched me a $450 offer, and like a knuclehead, I countered, to $550 and lost the sale.
Finally, as my domains were expiring, I figured I had failed at domaining, and gave up letting my domains expire. I forgot to remove some of them from Godaddy auctions, and about a month after one expired, I got an offer of $2000 for an adult domain. I got excited, only to log in and realize, my domain had expired, and I was no longer the owner, and removed it from Godaddy Auctions. Needless to say, that lit a spark under me, and I am at it again, only this time, if I get offers that are reasonable, I plan to jump on them.

I hope to learn some tricks and secrets here from everybody, and correspond with some nice people too

Second... Be careful... this is a common scam.

You get an offer on an expired name you just lost but is still listed on GD auctions as 'make an offer', and then you figure that an offer has been made on the name for $2k... so you try and buy it back for $500.

Mysteriously once you buy it back for $500, the $2k offer never follows through... and you just put $500 into the pocket of the person who place the $2k offer to begin with.
