Just registered Halo2Server.com (to run my halo 2 server, when the game is released on the 22nd)

What do you all think?

The question I ask myself with domains like this is: Why would someone want to go to that URL?

That combined with the trademark word, Halo (?), would have me venture just reg fee, I'm afraid. Sorry.

I would want someone to go to that url, to find statistics and information about the dedicated server am running for halo 2, such as who's playing, what map, uptime etc...

Exactly! They aren't in a buying mood and aren't actively looking for a product ... so of less worth to advertisers. IMHO, of course.

I think the name is good if you are the only one planning on using it and you're not trying to sell it. It's simple enough to remember to those who visit your gaming server. I hope, for your sake, that Halo2 will allow you to extract the game information so you can make it visible on a website, like some other FPS game servers allow you.

If you plan on using the name as a platform for hosting other servers, then it is troublesom that the name is in its singular form. If this is the case, you may want to register Halo2Servers.com or MyHalo2Server.com.

Either way, it'll have a short shelf life that is pegged to the game itself. Crysis would be a better choice, because it'll be out for the PC before consoles.

Low XX but it has a lot of potential. I play halo and a lot of other games and I know what you mean and intend to use it for so I see that it could be a nice doman grab. Just like I wouldn't mind owning domains like HLServer.com, CSServer.com, DODServer.com, etc. Good luck!
