Hey everyone..greetings from India!

I am new to domaining (just handregd a few domains and hope to handreg some more in the near future). And in this venture, Namepros has been an incredible discovery. To be frank, I can't remember where else I saw competitors help and enlighten each other like they do it here. Love to see the 'let's give something back' mentality that people have here.

Just a suggestion: Don't burn lot of money hand reg. domains that are not worth. And if you do, be careful. If you can get a premium domain in cost of 10 or 20 hand reg. domains. I recommend to buy the premium one. Just spend time here at namePros reading quality articles and posts by experienced domainers. There is lot of thing to learn.

What do you exactly mean here by premium domains? Something like 1 or 2 dictionary words.coms? Or something like domains that have already existed for a while and earn good revenues from parking?

I recommend you to stick to .com at beginning and try to buy business related keyword domains (of course without hyphens) and it must have good amount of searches on google. Example: Cars.com, AndroidPhones.com, OnlineGames.com etc.

What a great first post.

I have to agree with Jitesh. Please take the time to research before you hand reg more domains. I wasted money to start with doing the same - as everyone else new to domaining has done I think !

Have fun and enjoy doing this. You really will get a great 'buzz' when you first buy the right domain. Take your time and give it 12 months before you can truly start to make a return.
