GreatDomains.com - Please Post Accepted and Denied Names

One of my names, PinotGrigiot.us, was recently accepted by GreatDomains.com after having several names denied. I had a small thread going about this before, but I'd like to start a larger thread where everyone can post which names they've submitted to Great Domains and the outcome. This may help us get a better understanding of how they select names.

GD never accepted MissLuck.com, even tho it had been listed by a previous owner for $37,000, then again, from what i can see there accepting complete crap domains. Oh, btw, 400 posts WHOO-HOO!!

I wouldn't give up. Take a look at some of the other domains that have been deined. GD's decisions do seem somewhat arbitrary at times, but I have heard people resubmiting rejected domains just to have them accepted 6 months later.

I can't recall who or what domains, but a few NamePros members have I have had offers on some, but none I accepted as they were too low (I am in it for the long-haul for the right buyer/price, atleast for most of my names there..lol). List them there, if accepted. Sell elsewhere if you get into the finacial need to due so. But, if no offers made elsewhere that you like, being one of those rare GD sales (should you get lucky the right buyer ever does infact want yours and happens to see it at the GD site) is worth the long wait. The harder question is this: If you have it listed at GD, and GD says it is worth $xx,xxx, yet someone on another site offers you low $x,xxx or lower, do you just take the lower offer (guaranteed money in the pocket) or wait to see if the right $xx,xxx buyer ever comes along at GD? Tis the hard choices of selling such names.

From information I have heard about their sales, it sounds like ~8% of listings may sell each year. I am not sure how many listings actually get offers though.

I was also trying to find some actual data - if you google it - you can only find sales between 1999 - 2001 and those are recorded by independent parties..

Looks like I've got some catching up to do. I think I'm getting the hang of the types of .tv names they are looking for. They just accepted my VarietyShow.tv and I submitted another one, so we'll see if they like that one.
