Thanks!

I knew you will post a thread with these results so I went out before auction ended :)

jiny.com $1,280 ---- I wouldve expected this to do better on SnapNames.

travelguide.net fetched a pretty good price for a 2-word .net of that caliber IMO. I like names like SneakPeek.com and BestPrices.com...if the ones that bought those make the most of those names, those prices are both great bargains.

I think BestPrices.com is a bargain considering its traffic stats and keywords ranking in search engine. (e.g. buy dvds) The traffic is very targeted and works great for a price comparison site. It is screaming for serious development.

I don't want to start a dispute or be hypercritic, but ...

I would like to meet who decide what domain is good for GreatDomains auction and what not.

I see domains like.. declined.net (with very little commercial value) or floorwax.net, irishriverdance.com, userpublished.com, kebob.net .......

I've submitted even this month some domains with higher commercial value (not in my opinion, i mean REALLY higher, i think it's easy to have better domains), or for example much higher searches volume, i've seen rejected even a domain that has received several mid-high $xxx offers in the past.

If you have an electronic product domain name .net with 1,900,000 monthly search volume (exact phrase, assume it is like photo / camera / net ) and you apply for a greatdomains listing setting a $3,500 bin and a $500 reserve offer and you see it rejected because does not meet quality criteria... what would you think when you see kebob.net accepted and then considered better?

However, every month there are excellent domains too, like bestprices.com, definitely a bargain for the buyer, or sued.com, bargain for the seller imho.

You're welcome! :)

Do you remember this thread?

Yes, of cause! :yell:

I tried to acquire the domain again, but apparently there were a lot more bidders interested in it this time. :'(

btw: as I saw in another thread, the $9k winner of last auction didn't get this domain for some reason. :|
