I would probably be tempted by offers around mid $xx,xxx but Wot do you think :?

Sorry to burst the bubble. I don't see any value in this domain name for an end-user, or a private business firm. Usually Gov.Ext names are owned and operated by Governments and not by any other Individuals.

This name has a serious risk of being revoked by the registry itself.

In the last few months some of the popular names in the .in namespace were put on hold status, including sex.in.

Parking revenue is the only source of revenue for this name, again imo.

I would just take the offer. I do not see it would excess low $x,xxx in value. I do not know why someone is willing to offer you low $xx,xxx because the domain does not worth that much.

Here are some recorded .co.in domains sold transcation. Notice that the highest price is only $1,250. Moreover, there are not much demand in them and the .in has been there since 1989.

Whoa, sweet name... You may want to do a little research on ^^ I don't think that this name has 100% chance of getting revoked though. The fact that the Gov't of India already has a very memorable name: http://india.gov.in/ makes me think you should be ok... but I am no expert. Good Luck

In last 30 days, no searches containing the keyword: "gov'".

I would seriously go ahead and even ask for 12-15 years revenue. its a typo of a government site, so it is bound to be around for a long time.

I gave you figures in the first post of the thread to indicate the value , the name makes in excess of 3,500 euro per year solely from parking.

It does not take a math genius to work out the value from that.

I also sold a .co.in in 2005 for $2.5 K and many more $1K plus in that year and since. Currently I have the 300 + names that I have retained on hold for a year or two expecting even better returns. BTW - .IN has been available only since 2005 -".in has been there since 1989."

I would certainly be looking deeper if we decide to develop, toying with the thought, featuring what is the problem when returns simply from parking are very acceptable.

I think I should take a leaf out of your book with some of those great sites and names you have.
