I am getting very confused, are you trying to sell an alternative domain name to this Gates sponsored existing thing or are you starting a conference and inviting the UN? I'm sorry but it is all seeming a little dreamy. I noticed that two of your domains org's are still available, I shan't be buying those myself but I would have thought this sort of thing would look better with an org than a com.

If I hand reg MissionClimateChange.com for 1ยฃ and I got an inquiry that someone he's willing to pay for, even selling such a name like that for $xxx, it can be profitable for me because you don't want to die and you still own the name.
I'm not going to ask him for 6 or 7 figures in the first time, - If he asked u about the price, ask him how much heโ€™s willing to pay for OR reply with xxx$-xxxx$, then if he didnโ€™t respond or he told u that itโ€™s too much for that name, after one week, you could e-mail him saying โ€œyouโ€™ve contacted all candidates for the domain and since he is only one whoโ€™s responded with interest, youโ€™ll offer him a heavily discount, letโ€™s say โ€œxxx$โ€ and are open to reasonable counteroffers.

One of my domains gets an offer. Cool. I know what I'm paid for it and what I'm happy selling it for. Now it's time to negotiate and get the most I can for it.

One thing I'm absolutely not going to do is start selling 10% shares in my name, DURING negotiations, on a domaining forum.

How are you pricing your 10% shares @Michael Ehrhardt ? Cause it would make no sense to sell at wholesale and if your pricing it based on the prospect of a big sale (based on your say so) then this is an extremely dubious practice.

Super shady stuff.

"The Plan is to bring People together

It is our Mission

Like the UNFCCC where they signed the Paris agreement?

Yes!
We send them letter."

Surely once the UN write back and attend that conference the shares in this what would normally be a not for profit organization will rocket!

I did not vote in your poll as you don't offer an option for under 1k.

I feel you will be greatly disappointed to learn the true value of your domain, but hopefully I am wrong.

I do not believe your idea of selling shares here is going to work, but best of luck to you.

(I have to give credit to people on this forum for being very creative)

Take what you can get 3 words and 20 characters long. What other name this long is worth thousands? How is this one different? It might get searches but still long with more options. The searches may push it up to a k but how to justify more?
good point on length.
NamesCon had advertisingagency.com last I checked @ 50k 17 characters,

We got an Inquiry also on

Thanks2Trump.com

ThanksToTrump.com ( coming soon )

There it is. Don't mess around with the Trump domain. Be done with it. 6k
My initial thought before reading this is it was probably Ivanca looking for Missionclimatechange.com given that's her mission.
Since you just bought it, eh, just say no see what happens. If it is the Trumps they'll be back. If not put it up for sale where they can see it.
Happy Hunting

if he's selling shares at 10% and he paid 1pound for the name, then 10% share would cost you 0.10pound.

or 10 cents in US currency

Sounds like these questions belong in the appraisal section.

I agree, and also it is not a smart move to post the name is a way that search engines can index it.

This can't be good for your negotiations.

I think it is too late, but you should edit your post if you can and obfuscate the name.

If it is too late to edit it yourself, you should ask a mod to fix this for you.

The negotiation with the buyer could go on for a while, and if they Google the name and find this thread, it could have a negative effect on your sale.

The fact you left the .org open, and it was just registered shows you didn't cover all your angles.

Excellent point!

You should not care who the potential buyer is.
The domainers have bad reputation and no respect among most business people because partly of that.
If you came to my shop and I would try to appraise and sell you everything according to to your wallet You would think that I am a dishonest thief.

Just think how much you paid for it and what the lowest profit would make you satisfied.
Take this amount add about 30% and count-offer with that.

Do not listen most people here. Over 90% domainers are not successful and they have no idea how to be.
These kind of people particularly love spedning a lot of time on forums, exchange thoughts, ideas between each other
Most successful people are too busy to have time for that.
You do not need advice from them.
Honestly is the best strategy and very appreciated in the business world even by people who are not honest.

Did you negotiate a price with the buyer? How's the sale?

What is the real point of this thread?? ..It showed up under the "BuyDomains" section which is for names for sale rather than appraisals.

As a name unto itself, it has very little value at all unless you are very very lucky or deliberately targeted some existing program. It seems very long and narrow and specific.. also climate change is something one should be working to stop.. logically one would think.. Mission to Stop Climate Change or something to that effect. Mission Climate Change sounds like you want to pump out greenhouse gasses to no end and harm the environment.. it just doesn't communicate what I think you are intending it to and what a prospective buyer would be hoping to convey with their URL.

A better Name can change your life ( Frank Schilling )

I don't think he said that, but he did say, โ€œA better domain name will lower your lifetime marketing costs.โ€
But is that an issue for an end user like the one you are targeting?

So, to clarify, you are trying to sell them a new name and not trying to start a conference like you were saying before and it is them who will be bringing the people together and you just hope to profiteer out of their charity, right?
