I received an email yesterday from Google which stated http://dnstore.org/: Googlebot can't access your site, and suggest that I verify it manually via Webmaster Tools.
So I go to Webmaster Tools, download the HTML verification file and upload it to my website root folder, and check that it's there, which it is. Then you are supposed to click Verify button and your done. But the problem is, Google cannot find the file and gives the message "we were unable to connect to your server". Trying this multiple times in quick succession sometimes yielded a Forbidden 403 error, but it was rare. I then tried the alternative methods of adding TEXT or CNAME entries with the same effect.
WTF is going on? I can go to my website and view anything without any problems whatsoever. I would add that this is a Google faillisted domain which I am trying to get un-faillisted. Does anybody recognize these symptoms or have any suggestions on things to try?
