Company shifts registrar landing pages to .google domain name.

Google has begun using a domain name under its .brand top level domain name, .google, for its domain name registrar.

The company announced today that you can find its registrar at domains.google.

Its original domains for the service, domains.google.com and google.com/domains, now forward to domains.google. However, once you log in, the domain name reverts to domains.google.com.

Will this give boost to more .Brand domain names?

I wonder why it took them so long to do it. I mean, they are doing phones, self-driving cars, finding a cure for cancer... why did they wait so long to get into this industry and start selling domains? (I'm not surprised they are getting into it.)
Dot Google is good for email address; and for domains selling. Other new TDN has its own purpose and direction. Remember your extension will tell your audience what kind of business you are in to.

google.domains would suck a bit less

It's a bit paradoxical but 'domains.google' sounds ways better than 'google.domains'.

In principle it's the same as by the TLD .top - for example:
'whatever.top' sounds better than 'top.whatever'

If a TLD itself is like a label, people will trust in it - equal the sequence is 'inverse'.
A TLD should give the domain name itself the 'stamp'.

So 'domains.google' sounds like 'domains by Google' and this 'Powered by' - 'principle' is simply what the majority like - it gives a feeling of secure.

it's not paradoxical.
it's just subjective.

so as I said, google.domains sucks a bit less. cheers.

I think the only Google domain I want is search.google
OK, there are probably a few more. But that's my first choice. (Yes, I know it's only to be used for google.)

What domains would you claim if you could?

Alphabet= orderly arrangement ?

Example:
A.) Drink.wine or wine.drink= I would like to drink that wine. I would like to wine that drink. In this example, it is true that both sentences contained verbs and nouns? But the rules of alphabet doesn't apply reasonably for both sentences.
Just like math, there is also a rule in math that must be understand and follow. Your answer must adher with everything and associated with it. Example: the true answer is -777, but instead your answer was 777. Do you think your instructor will give you the credit? You didn't include the negative sign.

In any event, who ever got the most power and wealth will survive...

Why are you needing a search.google if Google engine is already exist?

Why? To sell, of course. Or hold on to for selfish reasons. Either way, I guess, it's for selfish reasons. I see value in search.google.

With what they are teaching our kids nowadays, a kid can answer with 42 and be correct. Of course, that is the answer to life, the universe and everything.

But, I believe that some phrases have meaning. pc.guru is a right order. guru.pc would not be as good, IMO.

These example are seems understandable.

Here you have two words and yes it's currently read as a phrase.
PC= nouns
Guru= can be a noun or a verb according to your example.

Current example: pc.guru, it can also be expanding from the standard sitting, then you will have to change that dot to "that". So your new phase will be (PC that guru) PC+That+guru. It is understandable.

Here you have Guru.pc. = guru that pc. (Guru+that+pc)

Now you have three words, and it still understandable.

Noun and verb is important....

I guess the question would be Google search engine is already exist. Why do you need another search tool knowing you cannot compete with giant search engines.
You may as well buy the Yahoo it is for sale.

I wouldn't be surprised if search.google / s.google (or similar) will replace Google.com within five years (with the .COM redirected there).

LOL so this is "proof" that new GTLDs are worth more than nothing???

That supposedly huge premium travel.agency was marketed like crazy fro over a month and didn't even crack low XX,XXX.

Nothing more than a pyramid scheme to lure new domainers.

.cloud domains have thousands of listings on godaddy. So far there has been only one $100 bid on 114.cloud and that domainer changed the threshold to $1000 or more to act like it already has a 1000 bid.

New GTLDs are a disaster.

Then isn't it a sub
domain ?

All the links and pages are still hosted on google.com.
domains.google is just an initial pointer page.

Not just an initial pointer page, though. Search functionality and account administration UX all occurs under domains.google...I see a few links to support pages, but that practice is common for Google.

Yeah I know since GLTDs are not selling it makes you tired.

Keep trying to promote them. You are just another sucker. Frank Shilling has you like a worm on a hook. He is the fisherman.
