Does anyone have a Google Analytics account?

If you do, is it cool? What kind of information does it give you? Is it just your same old Awstats, or better?

I signed up for an invite code a while ago and never got one.

It looks pretty cool though.

It's basically what was known as Urchin, except free!

I haven't had much time to deeply check out the features of our analytics account, but it seems to provide a lot more real-time graphs and statistics, as well as possibility to set specific goals and track them, etc

You can set goals for your website, marketing etc etc etc, but I haven't bothered to do that yet .

Where do you see if you have an invite available? And are they actually called 'invites'?

I've had mine since the very beginning (signed up right after they announced it) - but I don't know about their accuracy... I mean, it's a third party script. And it's javascript. If my visitors don't have javascript enabled, the visits don't even count. So I'm relying on good ol' Awstats and I'm using google analytics only as a guideline (they DO have nice piecharts and flowcharts, ya know...)

The main advantage for me is the way it makes it so easy to compare the evolution of your site between two different time frames; very useful for checking optimisation and campaign results.

Sign up on the Analytics page and you should get an invite in a couple of weeks. As far as I know, users don't get invites to send to other people.
