for those of you who have good, single - or very good double, keywords...why don't you Develop it...into a good, real site.

assuming you can execute, the overall valuation will be exponential as soon as you can get the ball rolling

...isn't that better than just buying and holding it as a parked page :td:

Not always. Not all domainers are into development. I for one have developed certain domains and sold. And some where I just sold domain only. It depends sometimes on the persons talent, skills, talent, time and money to develop vs parking. I think thats the great thing about buying domains of what, how and when you can do things with the domain.

Another thing I find is that many people find their domains are premium and do not sell even at what they percieve a great domain. Sometimes developing a domain even if you think is premium can bring a hike in price to the domain to bring more value.

I feel like a lot of the premium keyword domains are developed into websites. I have also heard that people are parking the domains in order to get funds to pay for developement. Lastly I would add that if you are making a great number of money does developing the domain really help. My example for this would be business.com which is a premium name that has nothing but ads on it.

I've developed a few names and they have been up and running for a few years now.

The thing is they don't make more than my parked names do. Sure for selling them I may be ahead. But then again everyone is into the traffic now. So if your name is making good money parked, that is a way to sell it for more money too.

yes, developed may not make much difference for short term. But after a few years, the developed sites should have higher traffic.
