Good Deal?

Hey guys, I was looking around for a computer, and came across this one:

AMD Athlon XP 2800+

6 USB 2.0 Ports
Network Card
512 MB SDRAM Memory
48X CDRW
16X DVD-ROM
S3 Unichrome Integrated Video Card + 1 AGP Slot
Integrated Sound Card
WINDOWS XP Home
And Stereo Speakers.

PRICE: $500 CAN = $407 US

Do you think I should go for this? Is it a good deal in your opinion.

Also, do you have any experiences with this computer.

BTW, the computer is refurbished, and it's from a very trusted store.

You can buy Emachines new for 550 $ US - Don't know about Canada though ....
I'm on a Emachine ATM :p - Love it for the price - Was going to have a friend build me a "Cheap" one .... 2,000$ ???? - lol - Went with the Emachine @ Walmart for 500$ US on sale with rebate ~

I have 2 emachines, both run good.

It's about twice as good as my computer. Whats the video card? Make sure what ever it is it's not an Intel. I learned that the hard way.

Yeah, it's not an Intel. It's S3 Unichrome Integrated(64 MB) and it also has an open AGP slot, so I can put my own.

And thanks to everyone who has replied so far.

I also get an HP printer and free shipping if I order online :p.


Any other thoughts?

Wow, thats not only cheeper but the computer is better too. I gotta geet one of those. $400 and more then twice as good as the computer I have now.

well, you'd have to shell out at least an additional 150$ for a decent video card, because the one in the system = crap

No video card is worse then Intel's video cards.
