domain GoldPlaces_com - any ideas about website thematic?

Hi, I bought this domain and want to create a website, but I still have no final idea about thematic.
Travel site/blog, something related to casino, money, gold...
Any idea?

Gold prospecting is a nice niche that has gotten a lot of popularity from the TV show Gold Rush. Maybe a site that has a map showing popular places to prospect for gold and then resources for each of those areas.

You could monetize with Adsense and affiliate programs and prospecting gear links?

People looking to travel will be more than people looking for treasures ..isnt it ? more over if you choose travel you can earn from adsense as well as being an affiliate to some popular travel booking sites ..also you can use amazon to sell some travel related items like torches , tents etc

@sophiaalice, yes, you are right. I have already 1 more project "FantasticRouts" or "AwesomeRoutes" and at the moment I am collecting info I need and places to list to my site, so I also think travel niche is very good.
But I still have some time to decide what idea esxactly I will use for it.
I dont want to repeat and as I already creating AwesomeRouts or FantasticRoutes (I still dont know with domain will be better) so I dont know it build one more site travel related..
But my principal idea was travel related site...

This could be a thing, will bring traffic and revenue, but it's a bit bigger project:

Listing/Review/Comments website about great caffes/restaurants/apartments/places/businesses in a certain area (pick an area to start with, later you can expand) - pick only the best based on reviews. Then, give out "GoldPlaces Certificate" to those places, to put on their websites, flyers etc. This way you will easily make something out of nothing, since business owners love certificates of quality and stuff like that. They will advertise your website on social websites asking people to rate them on your website, and so on.

This could be a good idea, needs to be worked on a lot, but could turn into a pretty big thing.

Yup, you can also check out OSCLASS CMS, it's pretty good for listing websites, though not customizable as WP. Hope it turns out well, let us know how the website is going
