It's been over 5 years since I bought my first domain name (to use, not to trade) and maybe I'm still a newbie but I've never been under the impression that hyphens increase dollar value let alone search engine results.

hyphens can be Ok but but it does not look quite right when there are 3 words in the domain name, so good luck with any offer on ebay.
