I tried the dedicated IP and it failed. So Godaddy must have removed that feature. Nonetheless, GD members should receive an email with special $6.95 .com coupon code "gdg0804b". This last till 15th Aug. Anyone interested, can try that instead.

however godaddy keeps going give me very bad experience on these.
Setting up a subdomain takes me upto 48 hours.

I did not see a module to create subdomains with godaddy... you mean they can create one upon request? (do they charge for this)

EDIT: oh right they do hosting as well so yes they would... ok how about if you don't have a hosting account with them, can I create a subdomain and allow me to edit the A record to point to an other server then the root domain? (sorry I know this is a question for Go Daddy...)
