GoDaddy Hosting Multiple Domains

I bought godaddy deluxe hosting, because it said that you can host unlimited domains on the hosting account. I called tech support on how to do this, and he told me that if i installed a bunch of domains on this hosting account that my sites would not be SEO optimized (i think because they'd be on same ip address???) Anyone know what i'm talking about? And if this is true what are my other optons aside from paying for hosting for every domain i have.

That is a bit difficult to get what you are talking about. If that is possible to leaave some deytails on the issue you have?

Your domains would be on the same server, hence the same IP address, yes.

Although that doesn't stop your website's from being "SEO optimized". It just means that if you try to link to each of your sites (from the other ones), Google will notice this.

But you can still do on-page SEO and external SEO (i.e. getting backlinks, etc) as needed.

uptime is the must for the good SEO. But Ip not. As that was said you need to do on page SEO and linkexchange to get good results

Well said. Even interlinking the sites could be done in a limited manner with no risk. Penalties are about certain thresholds, about overdoing things to levels that are blatantly unnatural.

I found this link which is Matt's advise in this reg. Matt is famous SEO specialist and he doesn't think hosting multiple sites on same IP would have any dis-advantage in SEO terms.

Don't use any unnatural spamming techniques to try boosting your rank in Search engines. Tricks do not work good and you would loose a lot of time if you get penalized. As far as for the GoDaddy's tech support suggestion... I must say that i find it very strange.

What my company does is use our GoDaddy reseller account to sell to our subsidiary companies. That way everything is on a different server, and the cross links help our SEO ranking.
