oh I see. I've tried a few today and none worked. from most recent to older.
it even told me the code is only good for new buys, not renewals.

my ddc expires in 4 days.

are you 100% sure you did not without knowing let it expire even by a day or two and then bought it? I think this is the only way to get discount.

either way, I think all those codes you mention and people post here say in their terms that they apply to only new purchases. ie: exclude renewals.

My membership did in fact expire first. The % code I used was said to be for new products only, but worked fine to renew. The expiration, while brief, must have rendered it a new purchase, rather than a renewal, thus, allowing the code. Therefore, my earlier post stating the codes work for renewals is somewhat inaccurate, although, for me it was a renewal, not a new purchase.

The best coupon available these days is a 35% off coupon.

I delete mine from my account every year on the last day and then rebuy it with a 35% code.

Yes, it probably won't. These $.99 coupons are perhaps common but I thought to post it nevertheless.

There is a google chrome extension called "Honey" which automatically applies all available codes and chooses the best one. It works with namecheap, godaddy and some other registrars too. Do check it out.

The tecom code I posted might be an old one that I never used, which could be why it worked for me. It came from a .99 header advertisement on eBay, while browsing domain name listings.

I am seeing more and more of these ads on a variety of websites. Some work, most do not. Either way, the search for codes continues...
