GoDaddy Deal Loophole?

A person I was chatting with yesterday bought an email plan at godaddy and was able to buy a bunch of domains and put 5 year renewals on some other ones for just $2 each. She wasn't sure how she did it. They are advertising the deal of 1.99 domains and transfers with any non-domain purchase but I can't tell from their fine print if it's really supposed to be unlimited.

It would be quite a deal to buy a $10 email plan and save 500 on registrations and renewals.
