Hi,

I tried now 3 domains, with Buy Now landers, and each time I click on 'next' ,

I just get this site to see:

Error occurred processing link

error godaddy.PNG

I tried my own names, and names from others.

And in both cases it simply does not work!

I saw this today in the morning.

Best is if you check your own names with Buy Now option.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
I reported this and was told they couldn’t replicate it. They didn’t say if they will look into it.

That's insane.

When buyers see this, how many will make themself the work and call GoDaddy...

Another big issue: checkout is still slow. This was reported on September 24. Why is taking so long.

Just to get this straight:
When I use ns1/2.afternic.com,
I am using GoDaddy sale lander's, right?

(And only then I am able to get the fee rebate)...

If I switch to ns3/4 or ns5/6, then I (still) use afternic lander's
(without fee rebate)?

Is that correct?

Thinking about switching my nameservers here.

Hi @Andreas B.

No, this has changed. Nowadays, the lander type has to be configured from the Dashboard. No longer possible to do this by setting nameservers.

All Afternic nameservers will answer with the same IP address(es).

Setting ns5/ns6 is my personal preference* (ns1/ns2 have technical issues). Then set your lander from the dashboard on a per domain basis, or in global settings.

*When I still had my landers pointed to Afternic - not anymore.

Any Afternic nameserver will give you the lower commission.

Hi Future Sensors. Is there a downside to using ns5/ns6? That is, if ns1/2 have tech issues, why wouldn’t we all switch to ns5 & 6? Thanks.

Goddady is a shitty company with a lot of money. That's it.

I have just switched to Sedo getting instant sales of some stalled leads on Godaddy.

Alright, thanks!

The info in afternic dashboard makes you belief that only ns1/2 gives you the lower commission.

They need to make that clearer.

@GoDaddy I'm confident the information in this thread will help your devs to identify the root cause of this.

Thanks for your diligence in checking your landers, @Andreas B. The domain you provided us as an example via DM was a .ae domain.

Your checkout link is erroring out because the extension isn’t supported by GoDaddy. We are looking at ways to best communicate this to sellers within Afternic, but in the meantime, you can consult this list of extensions supported by Afternic, and this list of extensions available at GoDaddy.

Extensions supported by GoDaddy are able to be purchased through the Custom Lander and Buy it Now landers. There are a few outliers that GoDaddy doesn’t support that Afternic does, but we’re excited to continue driving a huge number of sales for our domain sellers across multiple extensions through Afternic’s landers!

The ones I tried were .com, .co. TLDs supported by GoDaddy.
