Most obvious is selling used cars or new/used car parts. People on eBay try to get their eBay ID to match a domain name and "gmforsale" is not being used. On rare occassion, selling a domain name on eBay can bring a good return. The good days have passed

The car dealer auction market has consolidated considerably. Manheim.com is the monster in that industry. Few potential customers.

But selling to a car dealership directly may be your best bet. The auto-salvage industry and car part supplier/dealers would be another avenue to sell direct.
