I am interested to know where these stats came from since I know the .in registry doesnt really like to give out that info. I assume this is why .tv and .cc are missing from that list since they are both reasonably popular but hard to get info for.

Yep. Some of them are figures from July 2008.

I was just comparing them with this:
www.hosterstats.com/DomainNameCounts2008.php

The .in registry won't supply stats. Neither will the registry for .tv and .cc. It is an interesting list though.

I think that the .cn ccTLD is still very much in the landrush phase as its rate of growth is quite high. Comparing it with .de is a bit iffy as .de has a history of steady growth over years.

I doubt these stats are accurate.
