I still don't understand how to give rep.

Is this the same as giving +1 with the trader rating?

Nope not as same as trader rating...see the green light indicating that I am on line, beside it there is a white thing, click on it, make sure it's on positive and say something nice and click ok :)

Not necessary postive. You may give negative rep?

If you feel that a post was helpful and informative.

Rep doesn't really "do" anything. It is merely a measure of how other users feel about you. This generally holds true: an experienced, well-liked, and active contributer will likely have many green bars. That isn't to say those with the same characteristics must have high rep, but that's just a general guideline.

You click the little scale dealie under their username to add rep. I think that the more rep you have, the more "power" your rep has. So my 10-month-worked-on rep would have more power than a new member.

Rep Points

Our forum has a feature called "rep points". Rep points in its simplest form are a ranking of a members benefit and activity within the forum. Its basis comes from the opinions of all forum members that choose to take part in it.

Users gain and lose rep points on how their posts are scored by other members. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take away points by approving or disapproving with a post's content. Rep points are also gained or lost from transactions rated using our Trader Rating system.

You're welcome to give rep points to whomever you choose within our system limits, however rep points are not a commodity. You may not publicly offer rep points as a form of compensation, nor should you demand or beg for them. It is acceptable to say "rep points are appreciated", but it should be left to the giver's own judgement. Do not use the rep points system to insult users or as a method of revenge. If a member is breaking a forum rule, please report it using the "Report Post" button in the post.
