Then go for an old good com, you can never be wrong. By the way, may be it's good idea to create a thread it the "requests" section? I am sure you can buy a good com here. I have a couple, not that expensive ))

Yeah .. I don't like any of them .. none of them are natural english .. .website means more like you have a website .. if you want people to think you're a developer .. then it needs to be "websites" because the natural inclination is that your business is set up to develop more than just one website! ;)

I'd also agree with the others though .. unless you get a monster one word in a much better and more meaningful TLD than "Website", then go with a .com

i prefer one -word names
Don't do this, you would never be considered to be a credible business if you use something like .website
Stick to two words .com

I would avoid .website names. Try get a decent .com or your local cctld

none, get a .com

why would you pay a premium amount per year, when you can get a nice brandable .com - the upfront cost may be a bit more, but over the long its cheaper than paying $3k in annual renewals.

No brainer

I will never understand why people would give a web agency a name like dev.website? It should be a Brandables to stick out of all noise..

Dev.website is the only one that makes sense if you're bent on .website extension. Don't forget there's also .agency, you could try like DevelopmentallyDelayed.Agency..just kiddin' and good luck :)

None of those. If you want to be taken seriously then find a catchy easy to remember .com/local ccTLD. Software/web development businesses also don't typically use words like 'developer' in their name. They go for catchy, short, easy to pronounce, easy to spell names. A Google UK search for 'web development' shows names like popcorn, web creation, d3r, blue frontier, buffalo, wirebox, lilo.

If you're based outside the US and your local ccTLD is more popular (co.uk or .de for example), find a good name in that ccTLD too.

my suggestion would be to put a request in the 'wanted' section with a nice budget and get a nice .com brand.

@urlurl: Nice selection of Brandables! Where do you get all those creative names? ;) Just pure creative brain power? ;)

Trash. I can think of several decent two word .com's I can hand reg right now ending with agency, media, or studio.
