Getting listed in Google

Well there were many threads in the section for the same question on how to get listed in google.

Thought would like the new people to the resources.

Here is from google itself.

They have already mentioned that

In fact, the vast majority of sites listed in our results aren't manually submitted for inclusion, but found and added automatically when our spiders crawl the web.

But still if someone wants to submit it manually. then here is the URL for submitting your site to google.

This is just for people who want to submit their sites.

I think there is no need to submit it to google. Just start off by making links and doing the directory submission as soon as you can. Because even 2 minutes wasted in submitting it to google counts towards the total minutes wasted.

In 2 mins you can submit it to one directory instead of submitting it to google

Does being submitted to google indicate being submitted to yahoo! ans MSN?

i have never bothered submit sites directly to those 3, using that time to post the link in a major forum is more effective.

whether u subit your url or not google and the others will pick it up anyways
if you want to subit your site too yahoo then here:

http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
take a few weeks but put you on all the other major search engines.. ie altavista,ask,yahoo,msn

also something else i used was:

http://www.ineedhits.com/

really good site to subit to 20 or so smaller search engines.. really good tho.. im top rated in most of them and it is bringing me steady traffic
