I've had GetBrewing.com for a while now and believe it's a good name because its generic and has a 'call to action' as part of the name. The home brewing and micro-brewery industries are growing in popularity and getting lots of media attention.

I'd love to hear your expert advice ?

Get Brewing.. an interesting concept. And.. it's actually a popular subject as you stated. By trends it peaked in 2009 at 100% - thanks in part to Sam Adam's very successful ad campaigns. but the trends and keywords still have it around 81% interest with the "forcast model" showing 88% in 2014. here is the keywords associated and the CPC (cost per click) on average for advertising.
- Keytrend ratio - get+brewing (Google) Results 77,000,000 on average results

getting started brewing beer 1.40

getting started home brewing 1.15

getting started with home brewing 0.10

home brewing getting started 1.45

how to get started brewing beer 1.90

where to get bottles for home brewing 1.60

Now.. here's the fun part of trends and keywords... with a name like "Get Brewing" you would tend to instantly think and associate it with home brewing.. but guess what? The keyword trend is NOT towards home brewing at all. but matches at 100% on the CURRENT trend with a game called minecraft (go figure)

minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Brewing

Here's how the google trends stack up to "get brewing" and search volumes.

"get brewing" Keywords and Trends 5/2013
brewing minecraft
100%
brewing stand
75%
minecraft brewing stand
65%
brewing yeast
25%

The home brewing market is less than 25% of the CURRENT trend keywords for "get brewing"
so - with that said It could be marketed to the online gaming community currently probably faster than the brew from home market.

I hope the current analyses of your domain helps broaden your market area.
AS-IS with no marketing (put some information on your site.. make it look like an actively used site)

$xx range, with useful content to stir interest low $xxx range
marketed to the correct people (this requires an effort on your part to search out the persons most interested or active in the market to present it to) upper $xxx range and who - knows from there?
it all depends on who wants it, and how bad.

My 2 cents, and best regards.

Analyzes ... first off WOW and THANK YOU for such a considered reply and more importantly the analysis !! just AWESOME!

now to reread it three or four times n make sure I a) get it, and b) try and apply your same process to other domains ... I genuinely do appreciate the statistical rigor when looking at the domain, blending the art with the science if you will ...

(just for what it's worth, you should consider a blog post of feature post on on one of the Domainer blogs walking through your process step by step for people, if it's something you'd be comfortable sharing ? I believe there's a LOT of guy's who'd benefit from it)

I see your obviously getting the first figures from google analytics and i'm assuming the second set of figures from google trends, but when I try and punch in the May 2013 I'm not getting any keyword data ? also across all time it's not showing me the News items tied in ?

Still I think it's all a great process to follow and uncover new leads for end user targeting (I'd obviously considered the beer positioning and the brewing of coffee angle but hadn't even considered minecraft)

Thanks again Analyzes ... now off to work the art side of it and get $x,xxx for the name from a end user through persuasive positioning
