Hi, Im having a bit of a problem with my website...
The website extension is .co.in and my main target audience is USA. The website is gambling related, and it appears that at least in india, Im coming up on the first page, as the fourth result for my most desired keyword "online casino". The problem is.. when I check in google webmaster tools, in the query stats page, it does not show ANYTHING other that results in india.. for example this is what it shows:

Top search queries Average top position
1. what is 24kt gold 1
2. what is a flamingo 3
3. gambling act 9
4. online free games 59
5. casino in us 3
6. online casino 4
7. online gaming links 30
8. entertainment group 31

So, being rather new to website development and search engine marketing.. I dont know how to tell google that india is not my target market... ALL the keywords Im ranking for are only ranking in india. Ive put "USA" in image alt's, body text, and keywords, I host the site on a USA server and still nothing..

Any advice on how I can target USA serps would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance!

Steve

There is a section for "geotagging a web site" in it. I think you can get started with it.

Thanks a million for the link -Nick-!! I was unaware that this could be done... Im going to add the geotag's asap, hopefully this help :)

Reps added!! :)

Edit:

I got this message when trying to rep you..

"We're glad that you're fond of this member, but please give some rep points to some other members before giving it to -Nick- again."

I did try... :)
