Love to hear your thoughts on this one. Thanks. :]

I see NS records back to 2002, so I assume someone regged and dropped. The question is why didn't it get grabbed by dropcatchers? The search results are a mish mash of ny-to-st-louis flights, new york st patricks parade, and the implied term. I would guess that someone out there with a New York Street might want this and would be willing to pay mid $xx. I live in New York and we don't have any NY St, and we don't want any (but we do have a NY Ave in Brooklyn).

Well let's take a look at NewHampshireSt - how popular is it for users to type "new hampshire st" into search? How many results are there? Is there advertising on the results page?

In this case, the abbreviated St does not boost value but detracts from it. NewYorkState would be appraised at around $100,000. NewYorkSt I would guess is more like low $xxx because search engines do not automatically return "state" as an answer for an inquiry that ends "st". Also fyi NewHampshireSt.com is available, which also points to lowered popularity of the phrase combo.

I still think it's valuable, and maybe in the future engines will return something in search results for St, but since it's ambigious at this time the value is moderated. I note that some of the other extensions are taken which is good news for you as long as those .net, .us, .info people keep paying their reg fees.
