Thanks for the appraisal. You say that this post should not be here, please can you give me the url where it says that I can not ask for an appraisal on a domain name that I do not own. I have read the 'Sticky' at the top of the page and it does not say anywhere that I can not post this. Im not having a go but I would just like to know where this information is.

If I was purchasing a domain name and wanted an opinon on value before I part with my cash, would I be able to ask for an appraisal in this case?

It isn't an official rule as far as I know, it's just a rule of thumb.

Domain appraisials for names that you don't own usually go in general discussions.
