Based on your asking for the estimated value of this domain (name only), and not considering any other factors as they haven't yet been presented, I, too, would say Reg. fee+, IMHO.

If there is more to go on here, please provide the details for fair consideration.

hehehe....now this is where gamer value and non gamer value kicks in imo.

It's a nice name. Game + Core is Good. as is Hard + Core

If you develop the site, start with something simple like a forum for "x" number of games. DO NOT try to cover all markets in one hit. For example, go for Unreal Series. There, you have 3 different games with a marketbase of over 1.5million. Even if you got .5% of that trafic, I'm sure u would be happy.

I could see a gamer / clan paying 30-50$ for this, undeveloped.

The other option, is that you create a good clan/game design on it, and start haunting all the decent sized Game forums and promote it, get some traffic, then find a suitable buyer. A good place to find any potential buyer of a clan site is : www.clanbase.com (as they include the potential buyers direct email address and u can search the clans using key words!) They also cover about 30 different games.
