Hi,
I have a web application that allows gamblers to enter their bets and it does some clever calculations to do profit/loss. This isn't just for normal gambling, its matched betting (where people guarantee profits) - calculators included in data entry. It also does casino and misc profits. It also hooks into Betfair API for auto populating some of the fields. It also supports multi users (gamblers who make a profit, can turn low £x,xxx a month into mid £x,xxx or more by having multiple users). This app appeals to newbies and professional gamblers. It also does some clever stuff and hooks into the casinos/sportsbooks backend api and brings back stats to display to users. All profits are displayed in nice charts for the user, along with goals the user can set. I'll be honest, the app isn't 100% finished and there was a lot more planned.
Some other features:
The app itself doesn't get much traffic, but it does have about 70 accounts created.
Now, the juicy part. I used the app to gain some very lucrative CPA deals. I started offering users on forums and Facebook groups cash back offers. I made a special part of the gambling apps admin panel to add these users and email them offers direct from the app. The app has about 250 promo users in the system.
Going forward the app could have a payment model to use the app, or you could carry on offering cash back deals.
(The forum I was promoting in, has paid me to stop promoting the cash back deals as they're going to be doing them, themselves - therefore the user would need a new place to promote or use PPC).
My total revenue from less than a year has been: £35,433.57 (this is from neteller and PayPal).
I actually have another £6,000+ I made, but the payments were sent via bank transfer and I can't remember which companies it would. So, for arguments sake lets call it £35,433.57. Out of this cash I have given around 15% back to the user, which leaves me with a net profit of £30,118.53 (this excludes the bank transfer payments).
