My best guess is that this might cause you a great deal of trouble and money.

You are wrong my friend. I think you are not very long in the domaining business.

These two words can not be trade marked, these are two generic words.
The same is in the domains deserthotels.com or foresthotel.com or just hotel.com.

In the future i would like to make a website with a list of galactic suites, is this cybersquatting? i bet not

OK...no doubt you are correct. I have only been in the domaining biz for 10 years now. I suspect your experience is considerably longer than that.

...and you just happened to have put those two "generic words" together...and then you happened to have found the wiki info. That is a wonderful coincidence. Good luck...This uninformed person thinks that you need it. Even google will have picked up your domain name now. There is no going back.

i could not find any trademark like that, so i am sure this is not a trade mark,

the company s name is Galactic Suite Limited.

everybody can register free generic domain names like hotel.com or suite.com or lakesuite.com etc.

trademark names are names like snickers or levis, but not normal words, which are used in every conversation.

There is a TM but Trademark or no trademark I cant see any value. even if there was some the hypen does not help. Name is worthless and actually a financial negative as you are risking a huge lawsuit.

Also insulting people trying to help is no way to join a forum. That memeber is a long time domainer who knows what he is talking about.

Do a lot more reading on the forums paying attention to the legal threads, before you register any more domains. There you will find information about cybersquatting.

i register and buy/sell domains since two years, i have a lot of two word generic domains and never heard that a domain for example carservice.com is cybersquatting, even when there will be a company with a name "carservice" the domain carservice.com is NOT and never will be cybersquatting. the same situation is here, all domains for example spacehotel.com spacesuite.com or galactichotel.com are registered, so i took this one to create a website with space hotels. i do not see here anything illegal.

Car Service can be cybersquating IF they have a trademark AND you infinge on it. If someone trademarks "Car Service" and you have adds or something on it that site that references the same type of business that Car Service does then they "could" have a case.

And your example is flawed. You can reg those other names ( space hotels etc) You REGGED THE HOTELS NAME. you cant do that. can you reg Holiday-Inn . nooo. Its not illegal its wrong and cybersquatting.

Look at Best Western hotels. Both words are generic. Best and Western and you can reg "Best - Westerns" and have a site that has a list of the best western movies BUT if you have anything to do with travel or hotels etc on the site you would be cybersquating and infringing on there trademarkand get sued pretty bad. Regging "galactic Suites" is akin to regging Marriot-Hotels. or Best-Western and is cybersquating. Galactic suites owns and runs the domain GalacticSuites.com and is scheduled to open in 2012 for a $4 million a night stay.

i cannot check trademarks of all cointries in the world like spain, portugal or bengladesh or vietnam

i just want to register a generic domain name and even if there is a company with the same name in Zimbabwe or somewhere else thats not my problem
