From the Phoenix Business Journal - "A new Scottsdale private equity firm acquired a stake in Limos.com this week and plans to close its second transaction in first-quarter 2009.
Canal Partners LLC, launched in July, invested $2.5 million in the San Francisco-based lead-generation company, buying slightly more than 50 percent of the interest held by Canal’s three principals.
Canal officials see opportunity in the ground-transportation space, estimating it’s a $100 million industry. Partner Todd Belfer said Limos.com generated $5 million in sales last year, and he expects that revenue to grow to $20 million in three years because of a strong management team."
