No way I am ever giving up my desktop. This old bugger cant see anything on my cell phone AND my fat fingers type the most strange typos - its so frustrating that my health ring actually records increase heart rate and stress levels! HAHA.

My fingers and touch screens do not agree. I had to rent a car with some ipad looking dashboard - never again. I almost crashed trying to turn up the volume on the radio. Dont get me started.

Old cars and desktop PCs for this dinosaur! LOL.

In fact, on my way to Micro Center this afternoon to look at parts for a new desktop build.

I'm the same...desktop for computer work, cell PHONE for calls and texts.

It breaks my heart to see kids (and some adults) with their faces buried in the phone...it is like a pacifier. A whole generation is losing person to person interaction (survival) skills.

I can tell you that I have nothing against you, even if I disagree. I think we've lost that in society. I dont know when, perhaps about 20-25 years ago or so. We can disagree AND co-exist.

Yes! 100% This is a big one for me. I see it in my kids' school.

Even though I am older, I/we started with children very late. I was 50. I pick the kids of from school which has no bus service. Its 4 lanes of "car rider loop" full of parents, probably 100+ vehicles in all. These parents are the age my children should be. MOST of them have their heads plastered into the phones, sitting in their vehicles, waiting for their kids which is a up to 45 min wait.

I often joke with my wife and other friends that I could strip naked and run up and down the aisles and not one person would notice!

I laugh but its sad. The children come out to their parents' cars head down plastered in their phones. They often overshoot the cars having to retreat back to them. Its chaos.

What do I do? I stare at the trees, the clouds, the sky, the cars, the people, listen to the noises of the world around me, THINK, listen to tunes, news, somtimes I write down ideas, etc. Yea, I am that weird one with a pencil and paper.

Those cars have never made sense to me. It's illegal (in the UK) to use your phone whilst driving, even with a hands free set up, yet you can use what is essentially an iPad to set the vehicle whilst driving .

I have spend 600$ to upgrade my GPU and a quality 80$ mic recently, a PC is very essential for developers, creators and artists.
Mobile is useful more for those who are always on the go, which have no time to sit at a PC, but to see younger generation walking with a phone in front of them is degradation to me, we can look at Japan, too much tech and everyone goes crazy, they think owning high tech will replace human care, you will still be alone and unloved. imo
The more tech evolves the more alone we become! If NP's does not deal with bot topics they also will be alone soon talking with each other.

Since early 2022, I've stopped using a mouse and laptop. I now use Android exclusively for my daily activities, including domain investing. I've given both of my laptops to my children to support their studies.
