FTP question - Please help

Hello everyone!

I have just installed the vbulletin and it worked fine.

But my page shows the Index of page.

Take a look:

www.sustainabilityforum.com


Waht do I do to not have this but the start of the forum page directly.

I know this is a beginner question!

But please help.

I am not an expert, but I did have the same issue
and I just uploaded my index.html again and it worked.
Not sure if your is the same requirement or not, but it did fix mine.
I'm sure if that's not the fix someone else may have
the cure

Make it so that your domain redirects to http://www.sustainabilityforum.com/forum/ (Found in cPanel)

If you don't plan to have a main site on the main domain, I'd suggest moving away from the /forum and installing it directly to public_html. However, since you already installed it, it will be a little complicated to change configs at this point

Lesson learned, but Polur is right here, it would have been much better to install it in the home (public_html) directory if you just have a forum.

But look at it this way, if you ever decide you want to do a website alongside the forum, you won't have to struggle through moving it.

Yes I learned my lesson. :hehe:

I will do a portal site meaning just one page which quickly explains what this forum is about and with a link directly to the forum.

I will let you know when this has happend.

What did you do to get this message.

If I type the adress in it directly redirects to the forum.

Let me know so I can fix the problem.

Quick update.

I have set up a provisional portal page which is not to bad for a first try inmo.

Anyway the forum is up and running now and has 10 members already!
