What do u guys use for web design? What would you recommend? I am using frontpage but I don't quite like it. Has a lot of bugs. What are your opinions?

And by the way who can give me some hints regarding CSS tutorials? I can look it up with google but I thought u guys might know some sites that teach CSS from the start so even uneperienced guys can learne it. Thanx

use www.w3schools.com to learn css, its helped me loads so far.

I use dreamweaver, as it is very useful when it suggests colours/syntax, unlike notepad.

i would suggest using macromedia dreamweaver. works as great wysiwyg and also works well as just using to write you own code.

as far as CSS, check out www.alistapart.org

IMHO i like notepod, its a WYDIWYG ( What You Do Is What You Get ). I use dreamweaver, basiclly because im a very busy person and have to do 100000 Things at once. When i get time or if im working on a special project i will use Notepad.

If your new use dreamweaver as it has more features then FrontPage. I hate frontpage.

But you need to start learning CSS, i did a course on W3Schools and passed it. Its definatly worth it.

As an professional web developer i recommend "Macromedia Dreamweaver MX" the best webpage developing softwares. You will learn more if you use this software.

Notepad, it gives you more control over the design. Dreamweaver is bloated and a few clicks of the mouse can leave you in a right mess!

I use a combination of all of them...

I use notepad for simple HTML coding, (like display pages), and dreamweaver for working on templates.

i personally use dreamweaver, although I use the code view almost exclusively. I like the color coding and auto-completion aspects, and since I spend my time in the code, I know what extra code dreamweaver throws in, and can then remove it.

frontpage is a pain, but if you are familiar w/ MS office, etc., then you will be somewhat comfortable from the start. I wouldn't recommend using it unless you were coding in an .asp environment... then it'll help some.

notepad is cool and all, but to be so hardcore about just using notepad seems kinda silly to me - no offense intended... but I still drive a car even though my bike can get me there.
