The idea is a good one, but with "Sony" in the name you're bound to have TM issues -- a better name would be FreeBeanPlayers or FreeBeanMusic, something of that sort that avoids the TM.

Notice how that's not FreeSonyPSPs.com. These names do have TM issues. I'm not sure about the value as that company that has "free" PSPs/Ipods etc. might be interested.

Edit: Heh...FreeSonyPSPs.com redirects to FreePSPs.com. You probably won't get in trouble for these names, but there is still the possibility.

Just because they're trademarked it doesn't mean the trademarkee will have a problem using the name.

So long as you dont register sonysucks.com or dontbuyanipod.com they won't be too bothered generally.

A few wmay dissapprove but generally not many.

Im sure Apple are delighted with the performance of freeipods.com.

Sony hasnt had a problem with the FreePSP.com and FreeSonyPSP.com. I am guessing they enjoy the promotion of their product.

They wont be helled to randsom over the domain. I tried to sell totallyfreeipod.co.uk to them (they own the .com) but they wern't interested. I didnt even propose a price to them aswell.
