I think the 'free' isn't suited to be next to 'chinese', another thing is you should stick to .com really.

However goodluck because in the past sales of chinese net names seem to have been decent.

I think $xx would be a range for a more probably sell. Although if you have or find a clue of someone could be really interested, then of course speculate with a higher amount to see what happen. Anyway, without any clue of someone could be really interested, I think a sell for a higher amount is possible but less probably and not sure, maybe you sell it, maybe not.

"free chinese" has 260 global exact searches (not much) plus the .net took it down

Also I think for a more probably sell, you should look for potential interested people and offer it instead of hoping someday someone could contact you interested in the domain.

The effort and time it would take to develop a free Chinese website is just rediculous.
Pair that with a .net and you got yourself a flop.
I value the domain itself at mid $xx just because of the keywords.
But as a project i would say stop and move on.
Just my $0.02
