Yes, really free. You can add additional carriers which support e-mails forwarded as SMS in the sql file

Edit the sql file to suit your needs. I have installed a demo here. Test if it works for your carrier or not

I just tried the demo. It said "Message sent", but i didn't receive anything (i live in Asia, does that matter with the carrier ?)

Did you select the correct carrier? If yes, then you might need to update the sql file with the carrier's e-mail ID. If you still have problems, let me know.

it worked with Verizon. The only downside i see to a script like this is potential HUGE misuse, since it marks the sender as nobody@(whatever). So people could use this for spamming or abuse it and there's no way for the recipient to know who sent the text.

If you have a Pakistan number, you can check it yourself by selecting the appropriate carrier

No carrier for Indonesia. But i think the code works for other countries...

The best way to find out the script working or not is, each of you guys try with yr mobiles and post here whether it worked for your country or not. So we will know for which countries it works and for which its not.

It doesn't work for Sri Lanka. [has no local carriers in the list ]

I got this script to work perfect and found that some of the carriers outside of North America require the international ld code (ex +1 is north america) added before the mobile number.

I was also able to embed this script within my wordpress blog with no issues. Thanks for the links. Rep+
