Does anyone know of a freeware partition manager, preferably one that runs in WinXP or DOS (from a floppy)?

I have 2 hard drives, and upon uninstalling Linux off the smaller I found I still have a Linux Partition that won't be read by windows xp, and I can't convert it to FAT32 or NTFS. The only program I can find won't work on XP :(

Thanks :)
Tom

restart your pc with your xp disc in it go through the process untill you get to the bit that asks which partition you wish to install it on, delete that partition then create a new 1. You can then use the xp install to format it, as soon as that is done cancel the install and you should be set.

I don't know what the drive name is though! :(

I have:

a:\ (floppy)
c:\ Windows HDD
d:\ Optical Drive 1
e:\ Optical Drive 2

do you think it will be "f:\"?

no worries... its ok! I used filth's method, but using a Linux disk (as I don't have a windows one)
