These programs are extremely awesome, I can only suggest them to everyone who wants to do some Windows programming. If you've ever wanted to start programming now would be the best time.

This is my favorite part:

this doesn’t mean that the
product turns off after a year, but rather that as long as you
download the product before November 7, 2006, you can get it for free
and you can use it forever.

Takes a while to download, even on a cable connection. Oh well, def. worth it.

Is the web developer one strictly ASP or does it do PHP? Hope that's not a stupid question :)

WHEN YOU REGISTER: Don't use a Yahoo!Mail address, I had two of the confirmation emails sent there and they still haven't showed up. I used gmail for the last one and it showed up in 1 second.

I am glad this is all free! For all the un-installing and then re-installing of stuff I have to do I would be ticked!

As a person who is brand spanking new to the .NET experience I must say I picked an opportune time to do so. I mean this is a deal you can't beat with a stick.

There may be some issues for a few of you with the install of some of these products. It will throw an error code of 1935 or 2908 during the installation. If that has happened to you, like it did to me, I have found a workaround for it that works like a charm.

Hopefully none of you have to deal with this because it was a HEADACHE trying to find an answer that was worth a damn. I went through several sites and workarounds that did not work before finding the above link.

Yes they do but this is for VB.NET not Visual Basic. However if you would like to get something for Visual Basic check out Amazon.com for a book on Teaching yourself VB6.0. They generally will have a CD Rom with the essential software for practicing. You can get them generally dirt cheap under the Used link. This book goes for about $40 new but they have some going for $11 under the used link. The key is that not all "used" books are used.

Some people are able to get remainded books from stores who went under for pennies on the dollar and they re-sell through amazon.com.

You should also look for Foozles, The Book Warehouse or The Bookmarket as that is all they do and I have found some killer deals there.

I'm finding the videos that come free from learnvisualstudio.net are helpful, but sometimes a little too detailed. I set media player to play them a little faster and that works.
