Nope.. but we are unsure if u can Renew them for cheap.. or transfer them out

Cant transfer them out of registrar from what i understand and if you do you have to pay transfer fee and domain fee

Im not POSITIVE but i think i just read that the free domains are registered for 2 Years not just one.. Bcus it shows 24 Months

Yes, all .UK domains have a minimum of 2 years registration. You may find that they put their contact info in your WHOIS which will mean that they own the domain -- could cause problems when it comes to renewal time.

Not sure domains are reg'd at time of "register" ... got it on the offer, and some names still show as "available" at other registrars

Better get the ones you select right away.. I had to clear my queue twice while I was making up my mind and saw two had been grabbed in the interim which was unlikely because I was looking for logonyms.. so apparently the domain searches are monitored in some way. Not seeing any prices or info on domains, and after that experience, I decided not to reg any there, free or not.

Interesting but what got me - and it's really a huge pet peeve - they have all their privacy notices, terms & conditions etc linked as .pdf files.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Did I ever mention I hate .pdf files as part of online content?

And yes, they come across as shady.

Well they're a broadband provider principally.. domains aren't their main thing which reminds me of 1and1.. get them in with freebies and confuse them afterward. Not being able to immediately see domain prices and terms turned me right off... no, thanks!
