We’ve been building a small utility at DomainAgents called Check.Horse.
It does one thing: tells you if domains are available.
It is not a marketplace or a sales tool, just a quick check. You can drop in up to 1,000 names at once, and it will run through them in a few seconds. Accuracy is about 98 percent since it is based on zone files. It currently supports .com, .net, .org and six other tlds
It is free to use right now, though it will probably become a paid service later.
Try it out at https://check.horse
Usage is recorded in standard server logs for a short time, but these logs are never accessed or analyzed to identify domain names for registration.
Let us know what you think.
