Smartmatic just announced a $2.7 BILLION lawsuit against Fox News.

FoxLawsuit.com was hand-registered on 2020-04-01.

The suit names "FOX CORPORATION, FOX NEWS NETWORK LLC, LOU DOBBS, MARIA BARTIROMO, JEANINE PIRRO, RUDOLPH GIULIANI, and SIDNEY POWELL, " as defendants.

From wikipedia:

"U.S. Fox News, officially Fox News Channel, abbreviated FNC and commonly known as Fox, is an American multinational conservative cable news television channel based in New York City. It is owned by Fox News Media, which itself is owned by the Fox Corporation."

$0. It's trademarked. Nobody's going to buy it off you with the potential threat of a UDRP.

Thanks. I'm new to domaining, and I see your point, but I don't think there would be any merit to a UDRP as I understand the process - and Fox has bigger concerns right now. Both legally and practically, I think the risk is very low to nonexistent. Anyone else want to share thoughts?

From wikipedia (feel free to point me to a better resource):

'A complainant in a UDRP proceeding must establish three elements to succeed:
  • The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the complainant has rights;
  • The registrant does not have any rights or legitimate interests in the domain name; and
  • The domain name has been registered and the domain name is being used in "bad faith".'

I don't see issue here with trademark either.

Smartmatic trademark is not related to law companies.

There are plenty companies with name fox, just google it,
even in my country i know one law company with name fox.
