I am looking to get a main site designed and coded in php so tha I can integrate my forums into it...i.e main site with content and links including forum links, usercp etc..

Now my question is which is the easiet forum to integrate with

vBulletin.
Invision.

I think vbulletin is more popular and it is easier to find a coder.

I would agree that VBulletin would be your best bet. It might cost a bit more but it is going to be very easy to get a programmer.

I am a bit confused as to what you mean integrate with. Are you looking for a portal type integration????

VBulletin is great and there are many portal's already built. VB is expensive though..

If you are just going to make a main page with links to a forum then any forum would work.. PHPBB is great and free. It would be easy to tie in a log in too if you wanted to have a log in for both your main page and forum...

I have Joomla and Simple Machines integrated in my website. There's an integration script in Simple Machines. The trick is to find a template that plays well together.

I've never tried to integrate vBulletin but what I did do was mimic the header to the main site on the forum so it looks integrated. It's a lot easier that way for me.
